Circus Revolution was a fantastic success at the Milton Centre for the Arts, with every last one of the 500 seats sold, and a generous and responsive crowd in attendance.
Circus Revolution begins in a workcamp. People imprisoned in long chain gangs in a deep underground location overseen by large robotic faces making terrifying noise. Before long a young worker identifies herself to be a clown and sets about inciting revolutionary change. One by one the prisoners reveal themselves to be circus artists who can perform remarkable feats. By the end of the evening, the Circus Revolution has succeeded and a giant street party featuring all performers round out the evening.
Featuring the work of circus professionals from various parts of Canada and beyond, Circus Revolution also offers opportunities for a number of emerging artists to work with the experienced crew.
